Scott Mason earned his degree in Business Management from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Immediately after graduation, he went to work for Ernst & Young in their Business Risk Services division in Seattle. While working for Ernst & Young, Scott helped develop risk-management protocol for companies such as Boeing, REI, and Harry & David.
In 2007, Scott relocated his family to Boise where he helped establish the new General Agency for MassMutual. During his first year with the firm, Scott won several contests and awards, including Rookie of the Year. In his second year, he was promoted to Managing Associate and took an active role in training and developing new agents.
In 2014, Scott was asked to lead the Brokerage Division of MassMutual Idaho. As Brokerage Director, he works closely with independent advisors, providing customized strategies to meet the individual needs of financial professionals and their clients.
Scott has been instrumental in developing and implementing training curriculum for new and experienced financial professionals, with an emphasis on holistic financial planning. In addition to his many other contributions to the agency, Scott is also the Vice President and Director of Financial Planning for MassMutual Idaho.
In his free time, Scott enjoys fly-fishing, playing and coaching ice hockey and soccer, and scuba diving in tropical waters. He and his wife Amy have six children. They currently reside in Eagle, Idaho and are actively involved in their church and their children’s many extra-curricular activities.
